WHAT IS "SILHOUETTE"?
Founded upon the belief that social change must start within ourselves and manifest outward, The Silhouette Brand is out to redefine the ways in which Black & Brown people are personified & showcase the innovators who seek to cultivate a more inclusive and equitable society.
The goal of Silhouette is to not only operate as a platform for showcasing those who identify as a part of the African Diaspora, but to be a space for individuals to network & tell their individual truths and experiences with other intellectuals, creatives, activists and such.
OUR INSPIRATION!
Silhouette (noun):
1. The dark shape and outline of someone or something visible against a lighter background, especially in dim light.
2. A representation of someone or something showing the shape and outline only, typically colored in black.
It's no secret that the media depicts Black and Brown bodies in a monolithic fashion. We should not have to go outside our community to qualify our existences. It is extremely important, especially in the times we live in, to uplift each other and have a positive space to do so.
